Angeline Kin
Art Therapist & Counselor

Angeline is a registered art therapist with the Australian New Zealand Art Therapists’ Association and is a board member of the Art Therapists’ Association of Singapore. She has a degree in Architecture but changed careers to follow her passion in art and psychology. She holds a Masters degree in Art Therapy from LASALLE College of the Arts, which is validated by Goldsmiths University, London.

Angeline spent her clinical internship at a local primary school and a cancer organisation. At the school, she supported children with emotional and behavioural challenges (bereavement, anxiety, ADHD, ASD and selective mutism). Work in the cancer organisation entailed art therapy support for cancer patients, caregivers and bereaved family (grief, caregiver stress & depression). She works with children from backgrounds of neglect, divorce/family conflict, and trauma; and supports adolescents/adults with depression, anxiety, relational stress, suicide bereavement and complicated grief. She has also run various art therapy workshops to foster mental wellbeing as well as a parenting teens art therapy parent support group. She is a ‘features writer’ for Present, a Singapore Art Therapy Journal.

She hopes to bring this holistic expressive therapy to empower clients within a therapeutic relationship to explore their challenges through experiential artmaking, the creative process and imagery (‘visual thinking’): to facilitate creative/psychological growth, healing & insight, meaning making & re-authored narratives. Her therapeutic framework is guided by psychodynamic psychotherapy, existential psychology, narrative therapy; solution focused brief therapy, positive psychology and CBT. She practises phenomenological and mindfulness based art therapy.
